Today I learned how to use OnShape for the first time. For most of the time I struggled trying to figure out how the program worked.  I learned how to design a picture that will eventually get 3D printed. I also learned how to make something 3D and how to combine different shapes in the software. Lastly, I learned how to use CAD in general.

The Engineering Design Process is a way that engineers can come up with designs and correct any errors that are made during the process. The Engineering Design Process involves 8 steps that you'll repeat as many times as needed. Most engineers do not design whatever they are building perfectly the first time so this process is very useful.  Today in class we were separated into groups of 3 and were given a scenario.  The first step is to define the problem. The problem was to find a way to get a pencil lead case using the the Connect tools. After figuring out the problem, we asked some problems. Our problems were that my teammate Ben and I lacked experience in using Connect, we had a limited number of materials and limited amount of energy for the vehicle to move. After identifying our problems we started to brainstorm some ideas for the design. At first we thought we could use the rubber band to catapult the vehicle but ultimately decided to push the car instead. After ...
